Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny visited us in Park City for the second year in a row. We stayed at a townhome near the Redstone shopping area. We toured the Olympic park, rode the gondola at The Canyons and had an fabulous Easter Brunch at the Grand Summit Hotel...complete with a mini-buffet (tater tots, dino bites, mini corn dogs and mini mousse cones) for the kids. The omelet buffet and waffle bar for the adults wasn't so bad either. :) Anita and Dennis came up for a night with their kids. It was a great time.

Pennsylvania

Archer did his 5th grade state report on Pennsylvania. He said he chose it because that is where his Papa (my dad) was born and raised. He spent hours preparing the report, and making a tri-fold "pamphlet" that advertised his state. His phenomenal art skills came in very handy. For the final project, we had to create a parade float showing more about Pennsylvania. We spent 4 hours drawing, cutting, painting, gluing and taping. Here is his final project. I did the lettering, he did the pictures. You can see that he is very proud. I just noticed the irony of the t-shirt he's wearing. That was unintentional. :)

The Tooth Fairy

Nora had to have a crowded tooth pulled at the dentist. She also had to have three cavities filled. She wrote our dentist (who also happens to be one of my best friend's husband) a note and asked him if it would hurt. She asked him to write back and tell her. He replied on the back of her note. She was very excited the next morning because she "got FIVE bucks!" (the Tooth Fairy pays more if the dentist has to pull the tooth out). Then she asked me how big the Tooth Fairy was. I told her I wasn't sure. She said, "Well, you've talked to her before haven't you? You should know!" I told her I didn't know exactly how many inches she was...but that she was about the size of Tinkerbell. She seemed satisfied with that.

Bringing the milk in...

It was pouring rain and I was rushing to bring groceries in the house. As I hurried down the driveway, I saw Griffin coming around from the back of the car. He had been on his way home from his friend's house when he noticed the back of the car open and two milk jugs needing to be brought in. Without a word, he picked both of them up and headed into the house. I had to document that moment. When he's a teenager and I can't get him off the couch to bring groceries in, I'm going to show him this picture from when he was five-years-old. :)
